How 'Any available' staff assignment works
On your booking page a customer can tap Any available instead of choosing a person. JaaTime then picks a real staff member for them the moment the booking is made — the booking never arrives without a name on it.
- 1
Who gets the booking
When the customer confirms, JaaTime looks at every active staff member who is set up to perform that service, is on a bookable shift that covers the whole appointment, and has nothing else booked at that time. It gives the booking to whoever has the fewest bookings that day; if several are tied, it picks one of them at random.
- 2
What you see
The appointment lands on your calendar under that person's name, exactly like a booking where the customer chose them. There is no 'unassigned' state and nothing to assign later. You can still move it to someone else by editing the appointment and picking a different staff member.
- 3
When it says no one is available
The customer only sees that if not a single staff member passes all three checks for that time. If it happens while people are clearly free, open each person's profile and check the Service Assignment section, then check their shift for that day on Staff → Schedules. Service Assignment

Showing, moving or hiding the option
Go to Settings → Booking page and link and look under Booking flow. The option can only be moved or hidden when your flow is Staff first: an 'Any available' control appears with Show first, Show last or Hide. In the default Service first flow the option is always shown after the staff list and cannot be removed. Any available

Using it from the dashboard and app
The New Appointment form on the web and in the app has the same choice at the top of the staff list. Pick it and JaaTime assigns someone the same way.
